Tara grew up on a farm outside of Cabery surrounded by many dogs, cats, goats and cattle. She has always loved getting to work with animals of all shapes and sizes and types and kinds. Tara graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science. Grooming is something that has become a passion for her with both the dogs and livestock. 612 Dog Grooming is excited to serve the pets and families of our local area.

Living alongside the busy lifestyle is Hazel and Chief, who you will likely see at your appointments. Hazel is our spirited, intelligent Bernedoodle that keeps life interesting and active every day. Chief is the wisdom-filled, old soul that will accompany you for dinner and naps. Both love meeting the new dog friends that stop by and owners that accompany them.

We specialize specifically in dogs only currently.
While getting appointments booked ahead of time is helpful, always feel free to reach out with dates to see how we can accommodate. Scheduling the reoccurring and upcoming events ahead of time can also help ensure you get booked for your preferred dates and times.
You can book an appointment by calling, texting or emailing Tara.
It will vary based on the type of groom and the size, breed and temperament of each dog. On average grooms will take 1-3 hours. Estimated grooming lengths will be given when scheduling with updates provided during appointment with any changes.
Yes, we understand how important it is to get your pup desensitized to all the different aspects of grooming. They will be booked as a mini groom (tidy up) where we will only do as much as the puppy will tolerate in the most positive experience to get them on the right track for future grooming. Puppies are required to be up to date on all their puppy vaccinations. Recommend getting a puppy in shortly after their final round of shots.
