About Us

The Groomer

Tara grew up on a farm outside of Cabery surrounded by many dogs, cats, goats and cattle. She has always loved getting to work with animals of all shapes and sizes and types and kinds. Tara graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science. Grooming is something that has become a passion for her with both the dogs and livestock. 612 Dog Grooming is excited to serve the pets and families of our local area.

The Mascot

Meet Hazel, the mascot of the dog shop. You will likely be greeted by this spirited and excited girl at your appointments. She loves welcoming the dogs and their parents to the shop and can often be found supervising all the excitement of the day's grooms.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Currently, our books are full. We are at a capacity we can confidently manage to ensure our current pups get the highest level of care and attention.

Scheduling here works a little different than with most groomers. While working a full time job, the dog appointments get scheduled around my weeknight/weekend availability. The recommended time to schedule your next appointment is about a month before wanting to get in. We currently are booking out one appointment at a time, which can be done at each appointment.

You can book an appointment by calling or texting Tara.

Every groom and dog is different, but on average grooms will take 1-3 hours. We give an estimated groom time at drop off and then send a 30 minute "heads up" text for pick up time.

Yes, we understand how important it is to get your puppies desensitized to all the different aspects of grooming. Typically they will be booked for a mini groom (tidy up) where we will only do as much as the puppy will tolerate in the most positive experience to get them on the right track for future grooming. Puppies are required to be up to date on all their puppy vaccinations. We recommend getting a puppy in shortly after their final round of shots.
